Heart of Iowa can configure your router or provide a managed Wi-Fi solution to help optimize coverage and performance across your devices. After setup, technicians verify that your connection is working properly and provide guidance on using your network and support tools, including the CommandIQ app for supported Heart of Iowa routers.

To use Heart of Iowa fiber internet, you’ll need an Optical Network Terminal (ONT) and a router. The ONT is installed by Heart of Iowa and connects your home or business to their fiber network. For Wi-Fi, you can use your own compatible router, but Heart of Iowa also offers a GigaSpire router with whole-home Wi-Fi support and access to the CommandIQ app. The GigaSpire router is included at no monthly lease charge on our 1 Gig LightNet offering, and CommandIQ is included with a Heart of Iowa router. Additional service fees or one-time installation fees can vary by plan.
